Setesdal inspired hat

Finished a hat, ready for fall!
I have earlier knitted a pillow with this yarn and pattern, see there for more information.
My hubbie has made some new lamps for the hallway in the cabin. They are made out of some old jam jars, old hamp rope and some plumbing and electrical parts. They look great!
Also he has made some mug coasters from a tree on the lot.

Curtains for my cabin kitchen

My cabin kitchen curtains are finally done, I am very happy with the result. Fabric and kit from "Stoff & Stil". The challenge was that the tree fabric was not wide enough, so I have to extend it and make it match. I used a YouTube video to figure out how to do this; How to join patterned fabric
I also made a pair of pillows. The pillows are based on pattern: 5 minute pillow covers tutorial by "The Wonder Forest". I made the back overlap wider and added some buttons.
The table and bench are made by my husband, except the table top which is a defective top from "Lom møbler". The table top defect is cut off, then sanded and oiled.  Placemats from Kid Interiør and plates/glass and chairs "Børje" from Ikea.
Kitchen from "Kistefos Møbler". Love the kitchen, but not happy with the customer service.
We have also stained and painted the cabin this summer, very happy with the darker color.

Misty Pines

For Earth day few years ago I entered a Facebook competition hosted by Pine Needles Quilt & Sew, and I won the kit for this quilt. Thank you so much!
It took a while to finish, but I made it! Finished size is approx. 180 times 150 cm.
The quilt will go up in the guest room in my log cabin, it is too nice for the bed!  I will add a sleeve  on the back and get a small birch tree to hang it on from the ceiling.
The pattern was featured in McCall's Quilting Jannuary/february 2013. The quilt is designed by Patti Carey. The pattern is also available from, named "Winter Solstice". The fabric is from The Stonehenge Woodland Collection by Linda Ludovico for Northcott.

"Setesdal" pillow

Making crafty stuff for the cabin, knitted a pillow for my sons room.
Yarn: Dale alpakka in colors:
"Koksmelert" 1088
"Petroleum" 7572
"Gråmelert" 1042
"Mørk Lyng" 4855
Needles: 3,5 mm
The Setesdal pattern I picked from the pattern booklet:
Sandnes Garn Tema 15 klassikere

I am thinking about knitting myself a jacket with this pattern. This yarn is so soft and great to knit with, but the price is too high.

Hope to enjoy a few days at our new cabin this easter holiday! Happy easter to all!

Log Cabin pot holders

My dream has come true, we are now owners of a log cabin in the Norwegian mountains. We are still busy getting installed in the cabin. A log cabin pot holder I have made for the cabin.
